Thank You from Mr. Hudson

Dear Drama Boosters and Parents:
I just found the ground under my feet. What a ride! Alice in Wonderland was a wonderful success! The kids were fantastic; the audiences appreciative!
What more could you ask? This show came together smoothly and precisely!
Everyone was focused and the energy remained high for the entire run.
I think my favorite images of this show revolve around the Mad Hatter Tea Party! All those little faces and even the faces of the bigger kids…priceless. I love watching teens relate to children. They really are amazed when they realize just how much the children adore them (or at least their characters.) The show matured and changed every time the curtain opened.
I wish to thank the Boosters for everything they did to make this show an even greater success! Your dedication was evident in everything you touched!
The publicity committee really scored on ALICE. We have rarely seen such a turnout. I lost track of the number of people who commented on the extent of show advertising. The programs were beautiful and precise. The lobby décor and the Mad Hatter Tea Party were beautiful. Your decorations mirrored the mood of the show. Ticket sales and concessions functioned flawlessly. You fed the techs and provided snacks for the cast, and entertained cast and crew with a wonderful Cast Party. You took care of all our needs, and you accomplished all this with smiles. Cathy has mentioned everyone by name and I can only hope you realize how much you are appreciated…every one of you.
We have been very fortunate to have such a dynamic Booster group. I know that your work has made our jobs easier and more enjoyable, but most importantly, you have made the experience even better for the students.
I feel so fortunate to teach at Centreville, because the best part of the school and the community is the children. Their dedication for the department and their concern for each other are humbling. We have a strong and viable department, and we continue to change and learn from each other every day. Your continued support of this program mirrors your love for your children and the community. You helped raise this program to new heights and I thank you.
I look forward to seeing all of you at the Thespie Awards on June 9th. We will review the year, give some awards and present the shows of the
2010-2011 season.
Again, thank you for your continued support of Theatre Centreville and most importantly… thank you for the gift of your children.
Sincerely,
Mike Hudson
