Mark Rogers
Mr. Rogers has been the director of Theatre Centreville since 1999. Before coming to Centreville, Mr. Rogers worked as a director, teacher and actor across the United States. He has performed in 47 of the 50 United States. He has been seen on television in the soap opera Another World, All my Children and the Emmy Award winning show Homicide. During his acting career he played some of the greatest roles ever written including Hamlet in Hamlet, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Don Pedro in Much ado about Nothing and Edgar in King Lear. He holds a masters degree from The University of Arizona, a bachlors degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and has completed a summer “acting” intensive at Oxford University in Great Britan. He has studied or worked with such accomplished actors as Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Jeremy Irons, Rosemary Harris and Sir John Gielgud. In his free time he is currently writing screenplays that he hopes will be produced in the near future.
Michael Hudson
Mr. Hudson has been a part of Centreville High School since 1990. He currently lives in Manassas, Va. His time at CVHS includes teaching Theater 1, Technical Theatre 1, 2, 3, and 4, Film Study, Speech, Television Production and English. The eleven years prior to his time at Centreville was spent teaching in private boarding schools. Mr. Hudson is currently a member of the board and President-Elect of The Virginia Theater Association. Prior to this he served as the Chair of the Secondary Program of The Virginia Theater Association for six years and Festival Director for four years. In his time away from the Theatre Program at CVHS he enjoy such hobbies as selling antiques, restoring older houses, gardening, television production and digital editing.
